For all Programs that apply please register online. Please provide an email address that you check often. We will use email to contact you after registration.
Baseball and Softball teams: SportsEngine has an app:

or you can use the website www.sportengine.com to track all team information including practices, games, and cancellation information. Once your player is rostered to a team you will receive an email with team information. From there the Website or SportEngine App will be the main form of team communication.
***Note: By registering for Parks and Recreation classes and programs, the registrant realizes and understands the inherent risk involved in programs and appreciates the nature of the risk. The participant holds the City of Silver Bay and Parks and Recreation Department harmless for all damages caused by participating in these programs. Participants registering for activities of a strenuous nature are encouraged to seek a physician’s approval.

Recreational Activities
Bayside Park/Marina
The most picturesque park along the North Shore features marina facilities, a boat landing, picnic tables, fire pits, a scenic vista, and a beach. All located on the shore of Lake Superior.
Black Beach Park & Campground
The City of Silver Bay and the MN DNR, entered into a Lease Agreement with Northshore Mining for 31.6 acres of property along Lake Superior’s North Shore for the purpose of public beaches. The beaches have quickly become a “hotspot” for tourists traveling the North Shore.
The 49-site Black Beach Campground construction started the spring of 2019. The campground opened June 25, 2020. It has 15-sites with 20/30-amp electricity, and 34-sites with 20/30/50-amp electric services and full water and sewer hookups. Unique to campgrounds on the North Shore, this has a few pull-through sites to accommodate the larger RV’s. The 15 electric only sites fit up to 35′ and the 34 full hook-up sites fit up to 75′.
Baseball & Softball Fields
Silver Bay has active baseball and softball programs including a summer league. Summer programs include T-ball, peewee, little league, Jr. league baseball and adult/girls softball programs. All of the games are played on several well-maintained fields.

Horseshoe Court
The Parks and Rec program has set up a horseshoe court free of charge for public use. The court can be located next to the Rukavina arena.

Home of the North Shore Storm boys and girls high school hockey teams, Parks and Recreation headquarters and office area, and host site of Silver Bay Blue Line Club hockey camp and tournaments.

Silver Bay has three lit, high-quality, well-maintained tennis courts. The tennis programs in Silver Bay include the adult tennis league and affordable tennis lessons. These tennis courts are freely accessible and open to the public, free of charge.

Summer Recreation Programs
The City of Silver Bay runs a 6-7 week summer recreation program. Activities include Arts and Crafts, Baseball, Softball, Pickle Ball, Tennis, Dryland Hockey, Volleyball Camp, Golf, and Prairie Fire Theatre.
